Study Plan

90 days to AFCAT.
Here's the structure.

Days 1-20

Foundation

Cover every topic across all four sections at least once. Take a diagnostic mock at day 15 to find your real baseline.

Days 21-45

Section Strengthening

Drill your two weakest sections daily. Technical-branch candidates start EKT alongside the common paper, not after it.

Days 46-70

Mock-Led Practice

Two full AFCAT-pattern mocks a week, every one timed at exactly 120 minutes with the real +3/-1 scheme applied.

Days 71-90

AFSB Readiness

Shift focus to PPDT practice, group tasks and mock interviews — the written exam is only the first gate.

FAQ

Common questions about AFCAT prep.

Yes — +3 for every correct answer and -1 for every wrong one in the common paper. Guessing carelessly has a real downside, so unattempted is often better than a pure guess.
The Engineering Knowledge Test is an additional 45-minute paper only for candidates applying to the Ground Duty (Technical) branch, covering your specific engineering stream.
No — all 100 questions across all four sections sit inside one continuous 120-minute window. You choose how to allocate your own time.
Yes, women are eligible for the Flying Branch and both Ground Duty branches, subject to the same exam and AFSB process as male candidates.
Shortlisted candidates attend the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) — a multi-day process covering psychological tests, group tasks, and a personal interview.
Yes — CDS and NDA have their own dedicated tracks on AptiEdge, since both share a lot of the same Reasoning, English and General Knowledge ground covered here.
